Important Information
Highlights of the Journey
Lower Zambezi National Park
- Situated along Zambia’s southern frontier bordering Zimbabwe, Lower Zambezi National Park is celebrated for its pristine, undeveloped wilderness and outstanding wildlife concentrations. The park’s varied habitats — from expansive floodplains to dense woodlands — support a rich diversity of species.
- Wildlife sightings commonly include hippo, buffalo, crocodile, fish eagle and large herds of elephant. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities along the Zambezi River, including game drives, guided walks, canoe excursions and renowned tiger fishing opportunities.
South Luangwa National Park
- Bordering the mighty Luangwa River, South Luangwa National Park is widely regarded as one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. Thanks to successful conservation efforts and effective anti-poaching initiatives, the park boasts exceptional biodiversity and thriving wildlife populations.
- South Luangwa is particularly famous for pioneering the walking safari. Under the guidance of professional armed guides, guests may encounter elephant, hippo and even lion on foot — an unforgettable and uniquely immersive safari experience.
North Luangwa National Park
- Remote, exclusive and largely untouched, North Luangwa National Park offers one of Zambia’s most authentic wilderness experiences. Access is limited and typically arranged through specialised safari operators, preserving the park’s pristine character.
- This remarkable reserve supports a wide range of wildlife including buffalo, lion, hyena, wildebeest, bushbuck, zebra, warthog, baboon, puku, elephant, leopard, hartebeest, reedbuck and eland. Guided walking safaris are the highlight here, allowing for close-to-nature exploration in a truly wild setting.
